On 12 February 2015 Horsten organised a seminar in cooperation with Maxxelli Consulting and BCECC. 

China's retail market is growing at a breakneck speed of more than 11% year-on-year, mainly in the booming cities in the inland where millions of Chinese consumers are ready to spend their increasing purchasing power. This offers unique opportunities for Belgian companies to successfully enter this market. 

First Pieter Verstraete, managing director of Maxxelli talked about opportunities for Belgian brands on the Chinese market: How to reach Chinese customers? His presentation was followed by a speech by Bart Horsten, managing director of Horsten International, talking about strategic considerations for Belgian companies targeting Chinese consumers. The seminar was closed by a testimonial of the China business of a Belgian brand and a networking reception.
